40 by 40

In 110 days I will turn 40!  I won't make you do the math - it's July 4th.  And now that I am done having kids (I REALLY am done!) I want to lose all this weight that I have put on in the last 20 years.  So I have found a diet plan that I think I can live with.  It's a cheaper form on the hospital diet that some friends of mine have done in the past, but you buy your own meals, shakes and snacks.  It has you drinking 3 shakes a day, 5 servings of fruit and veggies and 2 meals, plus all the water or low calorie beverages you can drink.  It's not a quick weight loss program necessarily, you have to exercise at least 20 minutes a day and take in less calories than you consume. It's target weight loss is 2 pounds a week.  I am going to try to stick to it religiously at first and than if I want dinner with my family or to go out to dinner then I will try to limit my portion sizes and intake.  I really want to change my eating habits and live healthier.  I will be starting my new life on Monday, February 20th.  Wish me good luck!
